Art Café in Johannesburg, offering a Clay Café style experiences where you order your own art activity just like a restaurant. Choose your ceramic or creative activity on arrival or pre-order, enjoy tableside service, and we handle all the clean-up.

The studio Pass

Do you have your own supplies and just need some creative space to work? Then the studio pass is for you! Each pass unlocks 2 hours of studio access, including space to work and access to our tools – basic supplies are available for you to use: acrylic paint, pencils, coloured pencils, erasers and coloured markers. A complimentary drink is also included.
Tote Bag painting

Do you want to create a personalised tote bag without worrying about setup or clean-up? Our Tote Bag Painting experience gives you all materials, a workspace, and tableside support, so you can focus on designing your unique bag. Perfect for beginners or anyone looking for a fun, creative break in Johannesburg.
"Paint-a-Pot"
Pick one of our ceramic/terracota pots (we have mugs, bowls, ring dishes etc).
TERRACOTTA POT PAINTING | R300-R350 PP
Select a terracotta pot and customise it with our acrylic paints. All materials, including sealant for a long-lasting finish, are provided so your pot is ready for plants or display.
CERAMIC GLAZING | price of item +R85 PP
Decorate a handcrafted ceramic with glaze and then leave it with us for a final firing. The end product is food safe and ready for pickup in 2-4 weeks.
Air Dry Clay

Each experience comes with 500g of air dry clay and use of ceramic studio tools (sponge, rib, etc.) You will also receive a small tray of acrylic paints, acrylic glaze & a paint brush to take home and finish your project once dry.

Painting Experience
Pick a canvas, and make something that’s completely yours! We’ve got all the supplies ready; brushes, palette, and pencil, and we’ll keep your paint water fresh!
A3 CANVAS
Select an A3 canvas board and customise it with our acrylic paints.

GLASS PAINTING
Grab a glass & customise it using our glass stains or acrylic paints. Glass stains can be washed with soapy water but may wear over time, while acrylic paint washes off easily. These pieces are intended for decorative use.

Collaging

The collage experience is perfect for the members of our cut and glue community. Browse our magazines, beautiful art books, and assorted papers – and select your favorite materials. Then spend the afternoon collaging your heart out. Use of a cutting mat, scissors, a cutting knife, and glue is included.
Sketchbook Experience
Select your preferred medium and get a complimentary sketchbook to take home with each experience!
OIL PASTELS
Create colourful artwork using our creamy oil pastels. They’re kind of like an adult crayon.
